Discovering Downtown: Wendell Antiques & More
by Jessica Collins
“Not your ordinary antique store,” Wendell Antiques & More is a local downtown gem that we are smitten over. For years, owner Annette Pearce had a dream of opening up an antique shop. With the help of Mike Dannelly, the two were able to get things started in downtown Wendell in a beautiful brick home built in the 1930s.
Wendell Antiques & More offers a unique array of antique finds. With a focus on mid-century modern antiques, you’ll also find old suitcases and trunks, oriental items, and window panes ready to be re-purposed. Meandering through the rooms, you’ll find little surprises, such as old vinyl records, women’s scarves, and collections of older National Geographic magazines. Annette even makes tote bags out of recycled materials, for reusable bags that are great for pool trips or afternoon grocery shopping. Knowledgeable on the antiques you’ll find, Mike and Annette can share the story behind the many pieces they sell. They love sharing their passion, and they’ll be sure to help you find that special piece to make your new house feel like home!
Wendell Antiques & More is located at 123 N. Main Street, and open Wednesday through Friday from noon - 5 pm, Saturday from 9 am - 3 pm, and Sunday from noon - 5 pm.
