Tired of your regular date night spot, or just wanting to try something different? We’ve compiled a list of “hidden gems” in and around Raleigh for you to explore. Check out one (or more) of these great locations with your significant other for a fun and unique date night experience. You just might find a new favorite!
Angus Barn - Dine at the Chef’s or Captain’s Table for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes dining experience! Fun fact: Angus Barn’s Executive Chef Walter Royal is an “Iron Chef America” winner.
The Peddler Steakhouse - This independently owned and operated steakhouse is ‘aged to perfection.' Try their house specialty, the prime rib!
Mandolin - Mandolin offers a fresh take on southern food, made with local ingredients (some from the restaurant’s own garden!)
Rialto Theatre - The Rialto, a charming theater built in 1942, features foreign and independent films. The theater also plays the Rocky Horror Picture Show every friday at midnight.
JC Raulston Arboretum - This nationally acclaimed garden is located just two miles west of NC State’s main campus and offers free admission as well as guided tours.
Videri Chocolate Factory - Visit Videri for chocolate sampling, a peek into the world of chocolate production, and a visit to their coffee bar. Videri doesn’t use any fillers or artificial preservatives in its “bean-to-bar” chocolate, and their facility is allergy friendly.
Gallo Pelon - Gallo Pelon is located in Raleigh right above a restaurant called Centro. The Triangle’s first mezcaleria has both a beautiful indoor bar and an amazing rooftop patio.
