Fun & Local Fall Activities
Fall is here (regardless of what the temperature outside may suggest!) If you haven't already, now is the time to start working on your fall bucket list. And trust us, you'll want to be sure to add these fun local events and places to your to-do list!
Hill Ridge Farms - Youngsville, NC
Hill Ridge Farms began as a pick-your-own produce farm in 1968 and gradually shifted their focus to providing fun, family friendly activities over the years. This year, the farm's Fall Pumpkin and Harvest Festival will be held from Sept. 21 to Nov. 3. The festival offers a plethora of activities, including hayrides, train rides, gemstone panning, duck races, and even FREE pumpkins!
Wendell Harvest Festival - Wendell, NC
The 92nd Wendell Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019. The festival will have over 100 arts and crafts vendors from across the state, live music, food trucks, a new parade route, and more! You can find a full schedule of events on the Wendell Chamber of Commerce website.
Triangle Oktoberfest - Cary, NC
The 6th Annual Triangle Oktoberfest, the largest in Central North Carolina, will be held on October 17th and 18th. This authentic German festival is presented by the Apex Sunrise & Cary MacGregor Rotary Clubs in collaboration with the Town of Cary. Triangle Oktoberfest is full of family fun, traditional Bavarian food, live music, Wiener dog races and plenty of authentic German beers. Proceeds from the festival are to support the U.S. Veterans Corp and other charities.
Ken's Korny Corn Maze - Garner, NC
The Korny Corn Maze by Ken's Produce of Garner, NC is North Carolina's first and longest running corn maze. The 2.5 mile corn maze is a part of Ken's 10 Acre Fall Playground, and has been providing entertainment to individuals and families since its opening in 2000. The playground also offers other attractions such as mini golf, cornhole, duck races and more! Ken's Korny Corn Maze will be open from Sept. 21 to Nov. 9.
