- Fall Tree Walk: October 30th, 10-11 a.m., meet at the Farmhouse
The Fall Tree Walk will be led by Travis Kiker with the Town of Wendell Parks and Rec Program. In this tour, you learn about various tree species and fall colors while enjoying the great outdoors and colorful fall leaves around the community.
- Halloween Golf Cart Parade: October 30th, meet at the Farmhouse at 5 p.m.
Mark your calendars for this annual Halloween celebration. Golf cart owners, decorate your carts and get dressed up in your Halloween costumes before heading up to the Farmhouse for the start of the parade. There will be a prize for the best-decorated golf cart!
- Wendell Halloween Treat Trail: October 29th, 5-8 p.m., Wendell Parks and Recreation Community Center
Wendell Parks and Recreation is hosting a free trick-or-treating trail for young ghouls and goblins! This trail is all treats and no tricks, perfect for our younger trick-or-treaters. But the trail isn’t just for kids, adults can meet new local businesses along the way!

Lazy Hound Farm knows how to carve out the good times! Throughout the season it has a variety of activities such as hayrides, pumpkins, movie nights, kiddie mazes, corn hole, horseshoes, train rides and more! This Halloween it is having a Halloween bash from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with all their fall-tastic events as well as vendors and food trucks!
- Shotwell Landfill: Every Saturday in October, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wendell N.C.
These events will have you living the gourd life all spooky season! Every Saturday in October, Meridian Waste is sponsoring a Charity Pumpkin Patch at Shotwell Construction and Demolition Landfill. The free event includes touch-a-truck, hayrides, a bounce house obstacle course, pumpkin and face painting, animal balloon tying, hayride tours and more.
