Resident Spotlight: Meet Gary
An Ohio native, Gary Krynock comes to Wendell Falls after a lifetime of worldwide travels—and a prior stint residing in Hilton Head. The Encore by David Weekley Homes resident loves Wendell Falls’ proximity to the action in Raleigh while embracing the quaint community he’s found in Wendell with his wife of 50+ years.
Tell us your story! What brought you to Wendell Falls?
I moved from Hilton Head, but I was raised in a small town in Ohio that was on Lake Erie. I have two sons who attended NC State University and six grandkids—and Wendell Falls just gave me a comfortable feeling. It’s close to the action but not directly in it; I love the quaintness of Wendell and I’m very impressed with Brookfield Properties Development.
What made you fall in love with the community?
The Encore community. I love that it offers a lot of single-story homes and has nice amenities, not to mention that it’s not gated. Also, it’s not too big—and the shopping area, Treelight Square, is nearby. It’s a beautiful area.
What are your favorite activities/amenities in the community?
I like walking around here, Parkside Restaurant and the Farmhouse. It gives me a comfortable feeling.
What would you tell someone who was considering moving to Wendell Falls?
Wendell Falls is not too large and it’s close to the action in Raleigh while being out in the country. Plus, it’s planned well and easy to get around. As for the homes, David Weekley does a nice job. I don't think you could go wrong moving to Wendell Falls, it’s comfortable and it’s growing in a positive way.
